HISTORY DAY 2022 – Looking to the Past for a Sustainable Future

HISTORY DAY 2022 – Looking to the Past for a Sustainable Future

Participants: Prof. Tim Cole and Prof. Bart Elmore

This conversation between Dan David Prize Academic Advisor Tim Cole and 2022 Dan David Prize winner Bart Elmore explores what new understandings environmental history brings to the current moment of climate crisis. Drawing on Bart’s work on the environmental impact of two global companies – Coke and Monsanto – the conversation asks broader questions about the role (and limits) of history in engaging with contemporary global challenges. History Day panels were held on May 10, 2022 at the Steinhardt Museum of Natural History in Tel Aviv as part of the 2022 Dan David Prize award ceremony events.
